All of the libraries around here have summer reading programs for the kids. We've travelled all over to different libraries to see all sorts of neat things. Some of the highlights are a steel drum band, birds of prey from a wildlife rescue center and an open session with clay and a real potter. Tonight we are planning to go to family night with a storyteller/chalk artist. My super artsy daughter will love it. My go, go, go toddler, eh, who knows. I'm hoping the story is exciting enough to keep his attention.
The cool thing is that some of the libraries are also having programs for adults. At our favorite library adults can fill out a slip for each book they read and then each week a winner is randomly picked from the entries. This week it was me!! We're leaving in a few minutes for our weekly trip to drop off and pick up our stuff. When we get there I'll get to draw a business card and see what prize I win!
I started another custom order of playfood today! It's so much fun making things when I know they are going straight to somebody to love and play with.
